Robert Joseph Abrams, of Sun City, AZ, aged 92, passed away on August 3rd of natural causes at Banner Boswell Hospital in Sun City, AZ.

Robert was known by a few different names as he went through life: Bobby Joe, Abe, Bobby Ireland, Dad, Grandpa, ending as Robert in the independent living apartments where he spent the last 6 years, after his wife, Bridget, passed away.

Born in Big Hill KY, Robert was raised in Ohio by his aunt after his parents passed away when he was a young boy. Robert was a standout athlete in High School, playing basketball and quarterback for the football team.

Robert joined the Air Force in 1950, and served an honorable career, retiring in 1972. The Air Force moved Robert and his family many times. He was stationed in Vermont, Alaska, Canada, West Virginia, Minnesota, Indiana, Japan, Maryland, with his final posting at Luke AFB outside of Phoenix.

Real estate sales beckoned, and Robert got his license after retiring from the Air Force. After selling real estate for ten years, he took up another career working for the Post Office. Robert worked there until his final retirement in 1998.

With his wife of 64 years, Bridget, they had a satisfying Sun City life, with family gatherings the big event on any good occasion.

Robert is predeceased by his wife Bridget, and survived by his four children, Mike (Nancy), Shawn(Pam), Mark, and Kirstin (Richard), and many grandkids and great grandkids.
