“Visiting the United Tissue Network lab is beneficial for my students for a number of reasons – it gives the students actual human “patients” upon which to develop and practice their skills. It also gives them the opportunity to interact with your professional staff, which is of value to them in gaining experience working and interacting with other professionals. The typical response I receive from my students after a visit is always very positive, as they come away with a great feeling of accomplishment, having participated in performing skills and procedures on the nearest thing to an actual live patient that they can possibly encounter prior to their first “real” patient. Human tissue provides the most realistic training opportunity because even the most state-of-the-art technology is still just man-made plastic, metal and electronic components. Nothing provides better simulation of human tissue and anatomy, than human tissue and anatomy.”

“I teach Surgical Technology and have had my students visit the United Tissue Network lab over five times in the past three years. After each visit, I hear comments from my students explaining that this was the best experience they have ever had in their life. The reason I continue to coordinate trips to the UTN lab with my students is because it is very beneficial to their learning experience and they get to see and feel real human anatomy instead of just seeing pictures in a text book. In my opinion, you can’t get the best training on anything but human tissue. You can accomplish what needs to be accomplished without it, but nothing is better than having the real thing.”

“The opportunity to learn about trends in the practice of medicine provides networking opportunities, membership services and advocacy for advancing medical science.”

“Through realistic training on human tissue, we are able to protect and improve the quality and prosperity of medical practices, as well as the profession of medicine.”
