Susan Laferriere

My sister Sue passed away on May 16, 2026. We had plans to be two old “spinster sisters” together, but her pain and suffering from unresolved trauma and addiction to alcohol led her to make choices that went against the core of who she truly was. All I can hope is that she is now at peace, reunited with our parents on “the other side”. She is so very missed by me, her nephew and niece and countless other friends and family members. Sue worked as a phlebotomist and was known in the field for putting every patient at ease and for being able to get even the “hardest stick”. Sue was happiest by the beach or anywhere she could soak up the sun. She loved a good country song, cookouts and crab boils, and a good true crime drama. An avid sports fan, she loved cheering on her home teams, the Boston Red Sox, and the Patriots. She loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and could belt out a Bon Jovi karaoke song that would make the man himself proud. Sue lit up any room she walked into with her bright, beautiful smile, infectious humor and warm caring nature. When she gave a hug she enveloped you in her arms and her love. Sue will be remembered as who she truly was, a loving “sis” and “aunty”, and a fiercely loyal friend and confidant, filled with empathy, understanding and kindness. Rest easy my sissy.
