The Business Development Manager will be a critical team member to promote United Tissue Network’s (UTN) mission to empower people who want to make a difference through whole-body donation by Development of relationships with professionals dedicated to the advancement of medical technology, training and education.

The Business Development Manager serves as the primary business contact to new clients. The Business Development Manager is responsible for building and maintaining new and current client relationships to improve client satisfaction and achieve revenue goals.

Position Requirements:

  • 4 years account management and 2 years management/supervisor experience, possesses a Bachelor’s degree in related area
  • A detailed, professional, and results-oriented attitude with strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other team members
  • Knowledge of the American Association of Tissue Bank (AATB), Uniform Anatomical Gift Act (UAGA), International Air Transport Associate (IATA), and disposition and transport rules and regulations
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
  • High level of initiative and work well in a team environment
  • Strong project management skills. Able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines
  • Proven Account Management skills required in order to create, maintain, and enhance customer relationships
  • Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc.)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Motivated, goal oriented, persistent, and a skilled negotiator

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue
  • Reviews all major deliverables to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met
  • Communicates the client’s goals and represent the client’s interests to the team
  • Provides regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations
  • Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities
  • Identifies and loses new business deals by coordinating requirements and developing and negotiating contracts
  • Screen potential new business and old business deal by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential and financials
  • Aware and in pursuit of opportunities for account growth and new business
  • Cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities

Optional Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Assists with creating departmental goals and expectations
  • Assists with the Development of annual revenue targets and strategic objectives
  • Working with outside organizations to further United Tissue Network’s long-term strategic objectives
  • Other duties as assigned
